Each component must fit a certain criteria in order for it to be chosen, bearing in mind that the design will be effected as a direct result of these choices.
Small, heavy components are needed for weight and stability, whilst lighter or taller components are needed for height and reach. Once these fundamental characteristics are established, informed decisions can be made for the design and construction of each piece.
